A Capital Region HVAC contractor that plans for January.

Crosswind HVAC Facility Works looks after commercial buildings and homes from an office on South Frontage Road in Albany.

How we think about it

Winter failures are usually October mistakes.

A coil that splits on the coldest night of the year rarely fails without warning. A damper linkage was loose, a freezestat hadn't been tested, a cooling coil was never drained. The cold just found it.

So our year is built around the fall visit. Spring matters too — cooling season here is short but humid — but the visit that saves the most money is the one before the first hard freeze.

Working rules

What you can hold us to.

Fall first

Every commercial customer gets the five winter checks.

Straight arrival times

A time we can keep, and a call if it slips.

Your approval

No work beyond what you've agreed.

Written up

A note after every visit, by unit.

Licensing in New York

New York State doesn't issue a general HVAC contractor licence. Some cities and counties license or register contractors, and mechanical permits are local. Our registrations and insurance details will be listed here and in the footer.

About boilers

We work on the coils, valves, traps and pumps that heating systems feed into air handlers. Boiler repairs themselves go to a licensed boiler specialist where the work calls for it — we'll coordinate.

Facilities

Most of our work

Offices, schools, warehouses and older buildings.

Homes

A real part of it

Furnaces, heat pumps and air conditioning for local houses.
